There was good security getting in and out of the campground.
I enjoyed meeting the awesome owner, and enjoyed the stay. Well worth the money.
I would give it 4.5- 4.9 stars. Good job guys!
The tent camping is dirt cheap, and even the cabins are far less than a hotel room, while having your vehicle or motorcycle right out your door.
The location and convenience to town was awesome. Wasn't there for the night life so can't comment on those amenities.
Pulled in about 8pm after a full day of riding and a short dinner, and received a warm welcome from the owners. He had no problem with me debating between a cabin or a tent for a few min, and had no problem with whatever choice i made.
The tenting sites aren't the flattest, but its nothing a cheap 1'' thick air cushion cant smooth out for you.
The central restroom and showers were clean and well maintained with a soda machine outside of the mens restroom.
We got a cabin with a bathroom not during the Rally and really liked it. The rates were about half of a hotel room in town. It is in a great location. The water heater had a hard time keeping up when showering and the bed was a little stiff, but will be staying there again during our next trip to the back hills.
I got my reservations last night and I am so happy, they were very pleasent and willing to help me. This is my first trip to Sturgis and I wanted to stay here because of all of the excellent reviews. I will update this post after the Rally as I am sure I will have a great time.
I will say the camper sites are VERY tight. I barely had enough room for my 27' camper, truck and bike.
I stayed here for the 77th rally in 2017. I camped in spot #225. My stay was very uneventful. I had no problems and check in was easy and effortless. Check out was even easier.
